Sunday Times interview

Tags: , — February 19, 2007

I was recently interviewed by the Sunday Times. The article in which I”m quoted appeared in the print edition yesterday and online on the TimesOnline website.

What made me chuckle was the last bit of the article:

Dayal will have to wait until 2008 for the iPhone to come out on the subcontinent or pay $1,000 for a grey-market import. “I’m saving my money,” he said. Apple had better hope he likes his iPhone once he gets it.

Am I really that influential? It’s possible, since most of my Apple-related stories become very popular on Digg. I”m humbled by the mere thought of being a person a firm as large as Apple has to impress. But that’’s one of the consequences of social media.

Incidentally, the article got promoted to the front page on Digg.

Thanks to Harry for the picture of the article in the dead-tree edition of the Sunday Times.
